Automotive Collision
Jevin Sullivan
Windham High School
Jevin has near perfect attendance, often arrives to class early and has maintained high grades. Jevin shows up daily with a good attitude and the ambition to learn and be engaged. He shows a great deal of potential to become an “A” class automotive collision technician or automotive painter. Several local area collision facilities have shown interest in Jevin and he is currently poised to start on the job training at Sebago Lake Collision at the start of the third quarter.

Benton has an A average with only 1 day out so far this year. Benton wants to be a diesel technician so that he can work on locomotives. Benton has great art skills and loves literature.

Deering High School
Cory is dedicated to the automotive program. He continually works on honing his skills as an automotive technician. Cory has no problem attempting any job that is asked of him, and if it’s a job he hasn’t done before he will do research to do it correctly.

Max has excellent attendance, a great work ethic, and is a good leader. He inspires others to do their best. Max has put in extra time and come in for Saturday make up even though he didn’t have any days to make up. He does meticulous work and pays attention to detail. Max is the student you can always count on to get the job done.

D'Karee J. Watson-Deas
Portland High School
D’Karee brings a genuine enthusiasm and interest. Last month he secured a job working with David Turin of David’s Restaurants. He has volunteered for numerous cooking activities outside of school hours where he has met and worked alongside some of the areas top chefs, which led to his employment. His passion and effort are clear, as is his potential for success in this demanding field.

Regina embodies the commitment to hard work that it takes to become a dancer and artist. She is devoted to the rigorous daily practice of strengthening her technical skills but even beyond this, Regina is a friend, great collaborator, and consummate member of the classroom community. She brings a generous spirit and love for the studio process that enhances the daily practice for all.

Laura is an outstanding second year student, and goes out of her way to make others feel accepted and included. She also has perfect attendance! For the past seven years, she has been volunteering her time in a kindergarten classroom in Gray, just because she likes being around children and enjoys helping others.

Joshua is a first year student who has become a model for the rest of the students. Joshua always comes to class with a positive attitude and works well with both peers and teachers in the class. He consistently demonstrates great care in his work. He always finds something that needs to be done in the cafe without anyone directing him. Joshua is always willing to do what needs to be done.

Nick is always on time, if not early to class everyday. They are pleasant, kind, and always willing to help their fellow classmates. They strive for excellence in everything they do, with the willingness to go above and beyond.

Logan Weymouth
South Portland High School
Logan will compete against students from seven other Precision Machining programs in the Maine State SkillsUSA Precision Machining competition at SMCC in February. He is considering a career in Electrical Engineering and will be rebuilding and upgrading one of our larger 3D printers. He will also earn 4 college credits for additional work he will be doing as a dual enrolled student at SMCC.

Jack has had perfect attendance this far. He is very hard working and always engaged. Jack goes above and beyond in the shop, always willing to give a hand to his peers. He has done some beautiful brickwork and I am eager to see more of his creations.

Noah has been a driving force in the mechanical portion of the program. He is a very hard worker and always takes time to help out his classmates with his knowledge and professionalism. His dedication to this industry improves every week with his skill set. He is a great asset to the program.

Ben is a first year student who is motivated and dedicated to learning all he can here at PATHS. He has an A average on his worksheets and quizzes in the classroom and is always ready to learn. In the shop, he led his team designing and constructing a fully functional bathroom, which is 90% complete. He is a quiet and thoughtful guy who has shown leadership and professional conduct this quarter.

Katura has been coming in to night classes getting extra help on her welding performance tests. The extra work has really paid off as she is now qualifying for her horizontal AWS Plate test.

Semoni Lytch
Deering High School
Semoni is someone who can always be counted on to get the job done. Semoni helped run the class table at this year CBHS/PATHS craft fair this year. She initiated a holiday gift-giving project. Semoni and some of her classmates designed and built a beautiful dollhouse and a fire station to donated to children in need for the holidays. Semoni is a hard worker often staying after class. She is always helpful and welcoming to everyone who comes into our class.
