Megan Josephs

Early Childhood Occupations

We are proud to announce that Megan Josephs is our CTE student of the year, and recipient of the MELMAC scholarship. She will be attending the University of Maine at Farmington for Early Childhood Special Education. After undergraduate, she plans to move into an accelerated Masters program with an end goal of providing special education for young children. Over the course of the past two years, Megan has proven herself to be an outstanding student and all-around amazing person. She puts her whole self into everything she chooses to undertake. Megan takes her work in Early Childhood Occupations very seriously. She turns in thoughtfully prepared assignments, and shows a great deal of natural talent and ability in regard to working with young children. She creates exciting, developmentally appropriate learning experiences that are tailored to the unique needs of our individual preschoolers. She is an excellent role model for other students, and will often go above and beyond the expectations. Megan is frequently asked to show visitors around, as she is so warm, welcoming and personable, in addition to knowledgeable. She has volunteered on multiple occasions to speak at PATHS recruiting events, both at the middle and high school levels. She was planning to be our representative at SkillsUSA this year before it got canceled, and she was well prepared to compete. In addition to her school work, Megan is heavily involved in her local 4-H chapter, showing her steers and helping others understand the ins and outs of agriculture in Maine. She is a highly dedicated, driven and determined student, and we have no doubt that she will succeed in any endeavor she chooses to undertake.
