Two portable puppet theaters were built by our PATHS woodworking students. One of the theaters will reside in the Lyseth Art room and the other will be to be loaned out using the library sign out system. The theaters come with twelve folding campstools with fabric seats that will be created and painted or batiked by the Ellen Hadelman’s Lyseth Art students.

The puppet theater made it’s debut at the second annual ELL Family Literacy Night Wednesday, May 27th, 6-7pm at Lyseth. The event-included students performing skits with the new puppet theater a book giveaway, refreshments, a variety of literacy games, some of which were donated through Donor's Choose.

This project was made possible from a grant form the PEF Portland Education Foundation.
